Happy Holidays from the Golf Maintenance Team! As we wrap up another year, we want to share a reflection on the challenges we’ve overcome and the significant progress we’ve made across both courses.
The latter half of 2025 tested our resilience. During September and October, we recorded a staggering 10.7 inches of rain, which created significant logistical and maintenance hurdles:
Despite these setbacks, our crew worked tirelessly to ensure the courses remained playable and safe for all members.
Even with the weather challenges, 2025 was a year of growth and high-level execution. Here is a look at what we accomplished:
New driving range tee installation
Major cart path improvements
Strategic irrigation modifications
Irrigation system fine-tuning
Rapid recovery from storm damage
Enhanced weed control program
Hosted another successful PGA Event
Improved turf consistency
Our ability to host a PGA Tour event amidst a challenging weather season is a testament to the dedication of our staff and the robust design of our courses.
We aren’t slowing down. As we move into the New Year, our focus remains on elevating the member experience. We are committed to further refining our irrigation efficiency, completing the final aesthetic touches on storm-damaged areas, and ensuring that both the Dunes and El Cardonal remain in peak championship condition.
Thank you for your continued support and for being part of our community. We look forward to seeing you on the links in 2026!
Warmest Wishes,
The Golf Maintenance Staff
