Golf Maintenance Year In Review

Happy Holidays from the Golf Maintenance Team! As we wrap up another year, we want to share a reflection on the challenges we’ve overcome and the significant progress we’ve made across both courses.

Overcoming Nature's Challenges

The latter half of 2025 tested our resilience. During September and October, we recorded a staggering 10.7 inches of rain, which created significant logistical and maintenance hurdles:

  • El Cardonal: The heavy rainfall caused notable damage to the collar of the 5th green, and several arroyos across the property required extensive repair due to erosion.
  • Dunes Course: We faced structural damage to our infrastructure, most notably the cart path from the 18th hole to the clubhouse, which was completely washed out and required a full reconstruction.

Despite these setbacks, our crew worked tirelessly to ensure the courses remained playable and safe for all members.

We aren’t slowing down. As we move into the New Year, our focus remains on elevating the member experience. We are committed to further refining our irrigation efficiency, completing the final aesthetic touches on storm-damaged areas, and ensuring that both the Dunes and El Cardonal remain in peak championship condition.
