Stretch & Play

Here are a few quick movements to boost mobility, prep the body for the golf swing, and help prevent injury.

Torso Rotations with a Club

How to:

  • Stand upright, feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Hold a golf club (or stick) across your shoulders, resting it behind your neck and across your upper back.
  • Rotate your torso to the right, keeping your hips stable.
  • Return to center, then rotate to the left.
  • Perform 2–3 sets of 10–15 reps per side.

Standing Hip Circles

How to:

  • Stand upright with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Shift your weight to one leg and lift the opposite knee to hip height.
  • Make slow, controlled circles with your lifted knee — move it out to the side, up, around, and back.
  • Do 5–10 circles in each direction, then switch legs.

Arm Circles & Shoulder Rolls
How to:

  • Extend arms out to the sides at shoulder height.
  • Make small circles forward for 15 seconds, then backward for 15 seconds.
  • Follow up with slow shoulder rolls forward and backward, 10 times each.

Ball Position

One of the most overlooked fundamentals: ball position. Even the slightest shift can change your shot’s direction and height. Keep this quick guide in mind:

  • Driver: In line with your lead armpit for an upward strike and maximum distance.
  • 6-Iron: In line with your lead ear for a descending blow and crisp contact.
  • Wedge: Center of stance for controlled spin and precision.
Consistency starts from the ground up—literally.
