We would like to inform you of a recent change to the television channel lineup available for Legacy Club Owners.
As you may know, our system previously relied on DISH Network to provide access to several U.S. channels in English, here in Cabo San Lucas. In early September, DISH changed its satellite service and, as a result, DISH is no longer available in Mexico. This has affected resorts and properties throughout the country, not just our community.
When this change took place on September 7, a total of 19 DISH channels were initially lost. Our IT team has been working diligently to mitigate the impact:
The only channels that are no longer available are Showtime & Fox Business. All other former DISH channels can still be found in the lineup, although they may appear at different channel numbers than before. This change may require TVs to rescan channels in order to continue receiving all available programming. Below you can find a guide with the necessary steps to rescan the full channel lineup.
Following last year’s system merge with TAFER, more than 20 new channels were added to our offering. Thanks to these additions and our recent recovery efforts, the overall impact on the variety of available content is limited, and the total number of channels remains robust.
